Encircle Housing is proud to launch Our Tenant Experience Strategy, developed with tenants to ensure our services are inclusive, supportive, and shaped by the people who live in our homes. The strategy reflects our commitment to giving tenants a voice, providing the right housing support, and creating meaningful opportunities for tenants to influence how our services evolve.
Our Tenant Experience Strategy is built around four key pillars; Sharing and Listening, Having Your Say, Our Services, and Wellbeing. These ensure tenants feel heard, supported, and part of a thriving community.
Tenant involvement starts as soon as a tenant makes an enquiry and continues throughout their tenancy. Every team at Encircle Housing plays a part, often working closely with tenants, their carers, and other professionals or important people in their life. Regular housing support and wellbeing calls help us stay actively engaged and ensure the support we provide is tailored to each tenant’s individual needs.
Tenants Talk
To bring this strategy to life, we are introducing Tenants Talk, a new initiative that supports wellbeing through meaningful, relaxed conversations. Tenants Talk reflects our belief that good housing is about more than bricks and mortar; it is about listening, understanding, and building strong landlord relationships with our tenants, and making sure our services truly reflect what matters most to our tenants.
Tenants Talk moves away from formal meetings and instead creates space for natural, informal interaction. Conversations might happen over a coffee, during a gentle walk, while gardening, sharing food, crafting or taking part in other activities that support wellbeing. These settings make it easier for tenants to open up, speak honestly, and feel at ease.
Listening is just the first step. Tenants Talk follows a “You Said, We Did” approach, where feedback is recorded, themes identified, and practical changes made wherever possible. Updates are shared so tenants can see how their voices are shaping our services.
Getting involved
During May, we will also be carrying one of our outdoor makeovers, giving tenants the chance to get involved, improve communal spaces, and enjoy time together. These projects put Tenants Talk and Our Tenant Experience Strategy into action, creating welcoming, supportive spaces for everyone, and where people feel connected, and able to thrive.
We are continuing to build strong landlord-tenant relationships, reinforcing inclusivity, ongoing improvement, and meaningful tenant involvement.
