Paint Pot Day in Wakefield

Just in time for Christmas, our tenant’s home in Wakefield received a refreshing makeover. We used paint from our new durable colour range, with the tenants selecting “Polished Pebble” for the main walls and “Pigeon” for the feature wall in the lounge and games room.

The preparation work began by removing the TV from the wall and moving all the furniture to the centre of each room. Small holes in the walls were filled, and any rough areas were smoothed out. We also cleaned the skirting boards, doors, and door frames. Our Surveyor, Chris Crawford-Bennett, carried out an additional repair at the property to complete the prep.

Once the prep work was finished, we started painting. The main walls received two coats, followed by the feature walls, which gave each room its unique touch. After painting, we put up the pictures and added a large, stylish wall clock. Encircle Housing also provided two modern floor lamps for the lounge, adding a cosy, warm glow.

To make the day special, we arranged a buffet-style lunch with snacks and drinks, which everyone enjoyed.

The makeover event was a great success all around!
